EVENT COLOURS

At the core of every event, colour is and shall always be a pivotal element. At Cocotash events we believe


 " Any colour can be used for any event  but any colour shade cannot be used for any event"


This is a useful principle to follow at any given time when planning your event. The most challenging phase for people at the event planning stage is arriving at a decision on which colour to use for their event especially if it is not a themed party. 

Colours of the Rainbow

Choosing colours for themed parties  on the other hand is seldom hard as they are not usually associated to a specific colour. For example, the colour RED is always associated  in oganising a chinese themed party, BLUE for beach parties etc.


A research conducted by the Institute for Color reasearch  CCICOLOR  revealed  the fact that
people made a subconcious judgement about a person, environment or product within 90seconds of initial viewing  and between 62% abd 90% of that assessment was based on colour alone. Colour indeed is important when working on  the decor for every event.

2. What is my favorite colour shade?
3. Which other colours complement my favorite colour shades?
4. Which colours perfectly complement one another?
5. What feeling do I want the colour to evoke my guests?
6. Which colours are associated with......?

Different colours may have different meanings  depending on the context . Here are some basic meanings to everyday colour

RED – Energy, life, love, danger

BLUE – Dependability, wisdom, calm

GREEN – Nature, Growth, support, soothing, relaxing ,harmony

YELLOW – Optimism, creativity, happiness, joy

ORANGE– Ambition, happiness, innovation

PURPLE– Sophistication, mystery, respect, creativity

BROWN– Reliability, stability, friendship

PINK- Soft, women, friendly, 

BLACK – Authority, power, intelligence

WHITE– Purity, cleanliness, chaste

A wedding is one of or  the most important day in a woman's life. Most women start thinking about their wedding day at a tender age  and usually create a picture in their minds of  their "ideal" wedding day.

As a result, we found it useful to share a few tips on what couples should consider doing BEFORE their wedding day.

WEDDING PLANNING IN CAMEROON

Wedding Planning in Cameroon is an area which requires a lot of development and improvement. This is why I believe Cameroon needs people who are passionate about the field to assist in bringing about change and Improvement.

There are millions of Cameroonians within the country and out in the US, Europe, Asia and other parts of the world who desire to celebrate their "big day" back home and sometimes require the services of a professional wedding planner.

The few indomitable Cameroonian couples abroad  who decide to celebrate their weddings back home often  rely on their family and friends to help plan and organize their wedding event. In spite of these, there still exist couples, who have considered hiring a professional wedding planner to give "that Xtra touch" to their event but the absence of such professionals makes the hiring of wedding planners almost impossible.

The time has come when we need to stop all stereotype beliefs and change our perceptions.

The time has come to introduce that concept of professional "wedding planning” into our Cameroonian community.

A wedding comes once in a lifetime and every couple always aims at rendering that moment magical and memorable. Using families and friends is free of charge in most cases and not forbidden but worthy of note sometimes they might not have that time to sacrifice and dedicate in planning every detail of  the wedding as you might desire them to.

There is a lot involved in planning a wedding that we cannot imagine.Every tiny detail counts. A normal wedding usually takes about a year to plan and that is why hiring a professional to help on your big day would be a good idea.

It is imperative to mention that, the role of the wedding planner is to take the couple's picture of "a perfect wedding day”, make suggestions and turn it into a memorable moment through which the couple will always look back with a smile.
